MSHA New Miner – $225.00 per person

Our New Miner Training at Double C Safety Training is a three-day course which you will receive the required 24 hours of training. According to 30 CFR Part 46.8 and 30 CFR Part 48.25(b)(4), MSHA requires individuals completing new miner training to participate in a mine tour in order to complete the Introduction to the Work Environment section of the training which is not currently included in our training. The participant’s employer will need to ensure that the employee gets their site-specific training at a mine and give company-specific safety policy training to complete their training.

Our training courses are always comprehensive, up-to-date, and equip your employees with the knowledge they need to work in a mining environment. Even without experience, these courses are clear enough for new employees and visiting contractors to understand the dos and don’ts of working in a mining environment.

This course meets MSHA requirements for the initial training of new personnel without previous mining experience. Classroom instruction must be followed by on-site task and hazard training. The curriculum includes rights of miners, introduction to the work environment, transportation/ground control, communication systems, respiratory devices, hazard recognition, health and safety, first aid, evacuation plans and more.
